Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Neerja’ opened to rave reviews on Friday. The Ram Madhvani film has received a lot of adulation from critics and audiences which is evident in the box office numbers. Neerja collected Rs 4.70 crore on its opening day and another Rs 7.60 crore on its second day of release. Based on the real life story of Pan Am air hostess Neerja Bhanot, this fine art of cinema has garnered a lot of curiosity in the public’s mind. Singer-composer Shekhar Ravjiani also plays a pivotal role in this film. ‘Neerja’ has also proved to be a success overseas with a gross total of Rs 18.99 crore. This film was apparently made on a moderate budget of Rs 21 crore and is spelling success for its makers.
