After playing a gay professor in ‘Aligarh’, Manoj Bajpayee is gearing up to portray a hardworking traffic constable in Bollywood flick ‘Traffic’. The actor will take up the difficult task of delivering an organ from one part of the city to the other. “We have tried to portray the real difficulties which the traffic police face every now and then. While we are driving, we are not aware that an organ is being delivered in an ambulance. Through this film you will realise how much effort it takes to deliver an organ from one location to another,” says Bajpayee.

‘Traffic’ was complete a long time back, however it was only two years later that the makers decided to give a green signal to this Bollywood film. Before ‘Traffic’ could get onto the right tracks, director Rajesh Pillai passed away in February this year. “Rajesh Pillai took a year to complete this film and the other difficulty was that every Friday there were almost six films releasing. So we were waiting for the right time and opportunity. We did not want to waste this film. But unfortunately the maker of this project, Rajesh Pillai is no more with us. We are however satisfied that ‘Traffic’ is close to its release,” says Manoj Bajpayee.

‘Traffic’ is inspired from a real life incident, where a heart was transported to a hospital in Chennai. Rajesh Pillai had directed this film in Malayalam by the same name in 2011 and it was a huge hit.
