Madame Tussauds wax museum has opened its doors in Delhi today and Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan’s statues are on the display. With opening its chain in Delhi, the wax museum has been India’s first venture of the world popular attraction. The museum features 50 life-size statues of personalities from films, sports, music, history and politics. The attractions at Madame Tussauds include wax statues of celebs and cinema stars, apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, like Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit, Mary Kom, Milkha Singh and Kapil Dev. Statues of other personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, APJ Abdul Kalam, Michael Jackson, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga, to name a few, are also on the display at the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Delhi.
The iconic Regal building in central Delhi houses the wax museum, which is the 23rd edition of Madame Tussauds. And to ‘meet and greet’ these famous personalities, or to click pictures with them, surely won’t be cheap. Tickets for the entry have been priced at a whopping Rs 960 for adults and Rs 760 for the children. Having its main museum in London, Madame Tussauds has been a popular tourist attraction in cities like Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and Hong Kong; Delhi being the latest addition to the list.
