Kareena, Sridevi, Bhumi react to Zaira Wasim’s molestation on flight
‘Dangal’ actress Zaira Wasim was molested on a Vistara airlines flight and Bollywood celebs and cinema actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Sridevi and Bhumi Pednekar come out in her support
Zaira Wasim shared a teary video on Instagram explaining her ordeal of a horrifying molestation incident while on-board a Vistara flight. The 17 years old National Award winner received overwhelming support on social media and the accused too was promptly arrested. Reacting to Zaira’s molestation incident, veteran actress Sridevi, who is a mother of two daughters says, “It is very scary, upsetting and unpleasant. I am in shock.” Another Bollywood celeb and cinema star, Kareena Kapoor Khan too went on to laud Zaira stating that women should retaliate in any given situation, “Women are fighters and whatever be the situation, be it personal or professional, we all come out as fighters.”
The accused, Vikas Sachdev, has reportedly apologised to the ‘Dangal’ actress Zaira Wasim for alleged molestation. Vikas was returning from a funeral in Delhi via Vistara airlines flight. He is to be presented in court today. Vikas was arrested by the Mumbai police as soon as the news picked up in the country.
Another celeb and cinema star, and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ actress, Bhumi Pednekar expresses shock over the molestation incident, “I am really appalled, she is a child. This is a problem in our culture, especially when you are an actor. People think that you are their property. I am glad that she has put it on social media. You need a lot of courage to speak out. More power to her,” that Zaira Wasim had to go through.
