Kangana Ranaut had taken the members of the Rajput Karni Sena head on when she refused to show them her upcoming release ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. She had retorted, “I am a Rajput and I will destroy them.” The fringe group soon demanded an apology from the Bollywood actress. Reacting to the same, Kangana says, “I am not going to apologise to anyone. I never apologise for something where I am not at fault. We have assured them that there is no wrong portrayal in the movie and that they should support us. The film is about India’s daughter and the entire country should come out and support the movie. This ego issue shouldn’t be raised with me, I am not here to tell anyone a sorry!”

The Rajput Karni Sena had opposed ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ as it allegedly features Rani Laxmi Bai dancing to a special number, stating that it is against tradition. A few members of Karni Sena had asked the makers to show them the movie before it releases. However, Kangana refused to bow down to their pressure.
