John Abraham and Nishikant Kamat have joined forces for the second time in Bollywood for ‘Rocky Handsome’. This actor has a lot of confidence and trust in his director, “Whenever Nishi briefs me before the scene, we get into the auto pilot mode. It is a beautiful relationship. I always get scared that he would run away somewhere else to do some other project, hence I keep telling him, let’s work together. I am a big fan of his movies, he is a fantastic director.”

John plays a very hard-hitting role in ‘Rocky Handsome’. The film is an official remake of Korean flick, ‘The Man From Nowhere’. “I like being the underdog. I like playing such roles and have been influenced by films where we always root for the underdog. I know that my audience will always root for me, they are my biggest support system. After my first film I was told that I will have to go back to work but I have been here for nearly 13-14 years. I love the struggle. The day I feel I have arrived, I will pack my bags and go,” says John rather confidently. ‘Rocky Handsome’ narrates the story of how a man takes revenge from the gangsters who take away an eight-year-old girl with whom he shares a special bond. The child’s role is played by Diya Chalwad. Speaking about working with his kid co-star Diya, John says, “Children and animals are the most difficult to shoot with but Diya has changed my impression of that completely. Temperamentally she is fantastic. She was always full of energy and a very positive girl. She never got into a bad mood.”

Sticking to his Bollywood image of being a rough and tough action man, John Abraham promises a lot of realistic action. He says, “With ‘Rocky Handsome’, we wanted to take action to a completely different level. The country was missing the real action heroes, we have tried to maintain the right balance of body, action and attitude.” The film has nine action sequences in total, with seven major ones. This Bollywood film also has a good dose of emotion. “Any amount of action does not make sense without the right amount of emotions backing it. ‘Rocky Handsome’ is a very emotional film. The villain of this film is not just an antagonist but also the shrewdest and cleverest man around. That’s what makes him even more dangerous. You don’t know what his next move will be,” says John. Shruti Haasan is adding some glamour to this otherwise high-octane stunt-packed, thriller film.

‘Rocky Handsome’ will release on March 25. Bollywood hunk John Abraham assures that the emotional story amidst all the action will make the audiences cry.
