Hrithik Roshan concentrates on math for Anand Kumar biopic
As preparations for the biopic on Anand Kumar, possibly titled ‘Anand’ or ‘Gannit’, Hrithik Roshan has started learning the ropes and nuances of teaching math
After the success of ‘Kaabil’, Hrithik Roshan took a long time to decide his next project. The actor has recently been confirmed to play the lead in the biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar and will soon start preparing for the same. Buzz suggests that Hrithik will take off to Patna, the hometown of Anand Kumar, to understand the nuances of his life and for the training process of the popular IIT programme Super 30. The actor will also immerse himself in some problem-solving techniques of math to portray his character convincingly. To be produced by Phantom Films, this project will be directed by Vikas Bahl.
According to a report on bollywoodhungama.com, the makers are planning to name the Hrithik Roshan-starrer film ‘Anand’, based on Anand Kumar. However, if the makers of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1971 film by the same name, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna, claim a copyright then the project may be titled ‘Gannit’, which means maths. The film was initially rumoured to be titled ‘Super 30’ after the famous IIT-JEE programme started by Anand Kumar.
