Akshay Kumar attended the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2017), and along with Smriti Irani, presented veteran star Amitabh Bachchan the Indian Film Personality of The Year Award. Singing paeans of Big B, Akshay said, “America has Superman and Batman, and we have angry young man in India. We have worked together in a lot of films.” Turning at Bachchan, Akki further continued, “You have played father to several stars in the industry. But you the father of our industry and we have learnt so much from you.” Akshay promptly went on to touch Big B’s feet, which embarrassed the veteran star. Bachchan later shared on Twitter, “Embarrassed that Akshay does this. No, Akshay, this is not done!” Akshay Kumar also went on to share an anecdote from his childhood days when he went to take an autograph from Amitabh Bachchan when the latter was shooting in Kashmir.
