Ekta Kapoor-presented ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ has maintained a decent number at the Box Office and has also received a lot of positive reviews through word of mouth coming in. Made on a budget of approximately Rs 6 crore, Ekta Kapoor is not concerned about recovering her money put into the distribution of the film. “I am a commercial producer, I will make entertaining films and make money. I am not ashamed of it. But when I like something, as according to me it is good, I will make that too! During ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’, a person from my team told me that the film may not recover the money at the Box Office, while a lot of people even opined that the film’s opening day collection may not go beyond Rs 20 lakhs. I said I will make five more daily soaps and make money!” Call it gut feeling or intuition, Ekta Kapoor finally came victorious. At the end of five days at the Bollywood Box Office, ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ has collected Rs 7.75 crore.
