Dia Mirza is the latest Bollywood actress to make an entry on television. The actress will be hosting a travel-cum-adventure TV show titled ‘Ganga – The Soul of India’ based in North India. “I feel really special to have got this opportunity to meet people and have real conversations. It was a priceless experience and I could not believe that I was getting paid for this,” says the Bollywood and TV actress. While she has fewer hits in Bollywood, Dia Mirza is banking big time on this new TV venture. Dia says, “Both the mediums – Bollywood as well as television – are unique. It depends upon the story or the narrative of the medium. Television is a unique opportunity for me because it is a platform which goes directly into people’s homes.”
The actress confesses to overcoming her fears through the show. Citing an example Dia adds, “I am scared of heights, but this show has made me do a lot of things. There was a time when I was scared hanging onto a car window, wanting to get out of the vehicle. But in all I felt completely overwhelmed by the humanity and generosity of the individuals I met.”
