Janhvi Kapoor faced the media for the first time as she attended the trailer launch of her debut film, ‘Dhadak’, which is a Hindi remake of the hit Marathi film ‘Sairat’. The aspiring actress was aptly supported by her family members, as father Boney Kapoor attended the event. Remembering her mother, late actress Sridevi, during the ‘Dhadak’ trailer launch, an emotional Janhvi said, “I definitely miss her today.” She further went on to share an intimate moment she had shared with mom Sridevi, about her debut. “I had seen ‘Sairat’ with mom at home and I had told her at that time, ‘I wish this was my first film, or something like this.’ Mom and I then had a big discussion about how even she wanted a similar role for my launch. And then Karan sir called me and this film happened,” quipped Janhvi. Karan Johar is the producer of ‘Dhadak’.
Nervous and excited at the same time, Janhvi Kapoor shared a piece of her mother’s advice as well. “The biggest and the most helpful tip that she has given me is to work hard and feel every emotion. And I have tried to do just that,” said Janhvi, remembering mother Sridevi during the launch of ‘Dhadak’ trailer.
