Deepika Padukone is set to make a dazzling appearance at the prestigious MET Gala in New York, which clashes with the big Bollywood wedding of Sonam Kapoor. Deepika will attend the MET Gala on May 7 and walk the red carpet at the 71st Cannes Film Festival on May 10. The dates clash with the marriage celebrations of Sonam Kapoor, scheduled for May 7 and 8. Deepika and Sonam are known to share cold vibes since their novice stage in Bollywood and a busy schedule seems to have given Dippy the opportunity to skip her contemporary’s gala affair. Interestingly, Deepika and Sonam’s common link, both of theirs’ ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, is all set to attend the wedding, which will see celebs and cinema stars like Karan Johar, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan joining in the marriage celebrations.
