Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has set a new record for the Indian celebs and cinema as the Bollywood film has become the first to have grossed Rs 2000 crore in worldwide Box Office collection. China has played an important role in ‘Dangal’s collection, with the film being one of the biggest non-Hollywood movies in the Chinese market. ‘Dangal’ released in China on May 5 and has collected a total of $189 million so far, state reports. This amounts to almost Rs 1,220 crore when converted in the Indian currency. ‘Dangal’s’ China Box Office collection is from May 5 to June 26. The film is inspired from the life of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita. ‘Dangal’ is the fifth non-English film to have made such a mark at the worldwide Box Office.
While ‘Dangal’ is busy making and breaking worldwide Box Office records, Aamir Khan has shifted focus to his next Bollywood film, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. The actor prepared with several nose and ear piercings for his role in the film and has been shooting with Amitabh Bachchan in Malta. Aamir Khan is joined by his ‘Dangal’ co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh in this project too.
