Censor Board demands disclaimer for Sarkar 3 trailer
To avoid any troubles, the Censor Board has asked the makers of ‘Sarkar 3’ to carry disclaimer even for the trailer release of the Bollywood film, to which the creators have agreed
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has asked the makers of ‘Sakar 3’ to include a disclaimer before they release the first trailer of the film. Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, ‘Sarkar 3’ stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, that of a politician. The CBFC, aka Censor Board, has made this unusual demand of carrying a disclaimer before the trailer release as it felt that the clipping bears uncanny resemblance to the strong political Thackeray family of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Interestingly, in ‘Sarkar’ and ‘Sarkar Raj’, which were the prequels to ‘Sarkar 3’, parallels were drawn between Amitabh Bachchan’s character and that of the late Thackeray patriarch, Balasaheb Thackeray. Not to turn the heat on, makers have decided to add a special disclaimer to the ‘Sarkar 3’ trailer, which will be unveiled soon. This is the third Bollywood film in the political franchise and boasts of powerful celebs and cinema stars like Manoj Bajpayee and Yami Gautam. ‘Sarkar 3’ will release on April 7, 2017.
