Sonam Kapoor finally shared the frame with real-time father Anil Kapoor in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ as she plays his daughter, but the duo is finding it a tough time getting footfalls in the theatres. ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ started on a slow note with a meagre collection of Rs 3.30 crore on Friday at the box office. The same grew slowly with Rs 4.65 crore on Saturday and early estimates suggest a collection of further Rs 6 crore on Sunday. Directed by Shelly Chopra, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ is same-sex love story, also featuring Rajkummar Rao. Previous release, Kangana Ranaut’s period drama ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ is surviving well at the box office, having crossed Rs 75 crore in 10 days. On the other hand, the war movie, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, which released before that, is on a rampage at the box office! The Vicky Kaushal-starrer is inching towards the target of Rs 200 crore, having already raked in Rs 180.82 core in its fourth week. Made on the budget of between Rs 40 and 50 crore, surviving for a month in theatres is an achievement in itself in today’s time, and ‘Uri’ has successfully collected enough money at the box office.
