With an average start on the Bollywood Box Office, it remains to be seen if Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor starrer ‘Befikre’ manages to recover its 70 crore cost and make some profits or not. Director Aditya Chopra’s reputation also will be tested
Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor’s Paris rendezvous, ‘Befikre’ had a good start at the Bollywood Box Office, raking in the double digit figure on its first day. Directed by Aditya Chopra, ‘Befikre’ made Rs 10.36 crore on its first day of release. The film received average reviews and marked a limited growth over the weekend. ‘Befikre’ collected Rs 11.60 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.40 crore on Sunday. This made first weekend Box Office collection of ‘Befikre’ standing at Rs 34.36 crores. Made at a staggering budget of Rs 70 crore, ‘Befikre’ was released on a mammoth 2,100 screens across India. Hence it remains to be seen if Yash Raj Films produced ‘Befikre’ will be able to recover its cost and make some profit or not. Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor’s kiss-filled love story will face competition from Sharman Joshi-Sana Khan-Gurmeet Choudry’s sensuous drama ‘Wahaj Tum Ho’, which releases this week. But the latter is not expected to dent the Box Office collection of ‘Befikre’ too much.
