Akshay Kumar with Asin's baby; Asin with husband Rahul Sharma
Asin Thottumkal delivered a baby girl on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Her pregnancy was a hush-hush affair and the actress did not make any public appearances. Businessman husband Rahul Sharma and Asin shared the news with an official statement: “We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of our angelic baby girl earlier today. The last nine months have been the most special and exciting for the both of us and we would like to thank all our well-wishers and everyone who has been a part of our journey for all their love and support.” An ecstatic Akshay Kumar clicked a picture with the newborn and captioned it as, “One joy which is completely unmatched.” Akshay Kumar has been a close friend of Asin. The duo shared screen space in ‘Khiladi 786’ in 2012. It was Akshay who introduced Asin to Rahul Sharma, the co-founder of Micromax mobile phones. He even played Best Man at Asin’s twin wedding, a Christian ceremony, and Hindu ‘pheras’ which were held in January 2016.
Asin’s last silver screen outing was ‘All Is Well’ which released in 2015. Post this, the actress seems to have bid adieu to the limelight and settled for a homely life. Asin is now expected to take care of the newly born baby girl for a long time to come.
