Shah Rukh Khan’s latest attempt, that of promoting ‘Raees’ through a train journey, now has an unfortunate incident of a person dying attached to it. SRK’s Bollywood colleague Arshad Warsi comments that any kind of marketing gimmick will not get the audiences to the theatres. It is rather content which would work. “It was an accident and I don’t think Shah Rukh would have known that something like this would happen. My opinion is that the audiences watch the promo and decide whether they want to see the film or not. And after that how much ever you scream from the rooftops, it doesn’t make a difference. If you don’t like the promo then I don’t think you will waste your money in watching that film, and that is the reality irrespective of whatever I pitch. Beyond the promo you can only remind the audiences about the date,” says Arshad. Celebrity in his own right, Arshad Warsi has some fine cinema like the ‘Munnabhai’ and ‘Golmaal’ series to his credit.
