While Virat Kohli continues to express how important alleged girlfriend Anushka Sharma is in his life, the latter seems to stay away from social announcements of her love. Recently, Virat Kohli was conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday. While the 28-year-old cricketer was on cloud nine and shared the happiness with his fans, supposed ladylove Anushka Sharma preferred to stay mum on the social media and continued to promote her last week release ‘Phillauri’. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are said to be in a steady relationship since long.
While Anushka stayed away, an elated Virat Kohli, captain of the Indian cricket team expressed, “What an absolute honour and a memorable day to receive the Padma Shri from the President of India. God’s been kind.” Besides Virat, Paralympian Deepa Malik and hockey captain PR Sreejesh too were honoured with the fourth highest civilian award, Padma Shri.
