Ayushmann Khurrana in the garbs of a blind piano player,  and caught in a murder mystery, has had audiences pouring into theatres. ‘Andhadhun’, which released last Friday, opened with an average figure of Rs 2.70 crore, however the business grew with positive word of mouth. ‘Andhadhun’ collected Rs 3.40 crore on Monday and another Rs 3 crore on Tuesday, grossing a total of over Rs 20 crore in five days after its release at the ticket windows. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Andhadhun’ has recorded strong footfalls in metro cities which will help the film garner a healthy lifetime business. Salman Khan-backed ‘Loveyatri’ started off with a poor start and has reportedly managed to make Rs 8.65 crore in its first five days. ‘Loveyatri’ and ‘Andhadhun’ released on the same day, on October 5.

‘Andhadhun’, it must be recalled here, had opened with low occupancy at the box office but managed to do good business over the weekend, and stabilised in the further two days, which were the weekdays. While the film stars Tabu and Radhika Apte alongside Ayushmann, ‘Loveyatri’ has two debutants in the form of Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain. In the box office race between the two, ‘Andhadhun’ clearly seems to be emerging as the winner.
