Amitabh Bachchan on Holi party: Adverse health conditions stop celebrations
Amitabh Bachchan and family’s Holi party and pomp celebrations at the time of festival of colours is stopped this year as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father is hospitalised
The Bachchan family celebrates the festival of colours with great élan every year and have hosted several high profile, colourful Holi parties as well through the years. However, this year, all Holi celebrations have been cancelled at the Bachchan household as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father, Krishnaraj Rai is in a critical condition. In the past week, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been spotted moving in and out of Lilavati Hospital several times, where Ash’s father has been reportedly admitted in the ICU. Confirming the same, Amitabh Bachchan shares, “When adverse health conditions plague relatives, the celebration is stopped, and so it shall be for us this time. We pray, yes, but we also respect!” saying that there will be no Holi party or celebrations at the Bachchan household. Amitabh Bachchan has also visited Krishnaraj Rai at the hospital.
While Amitabh Bachchan and family will not celebrate Holi, Abhishek Bachchan wished fans for the festival of colours on Twitter. “May the Holika burn away all your sorrows and evils. Happy Holi,” shared Junior Bachchan.
