Amitabh Bachchan enjoying the digital shift in Bollywood
He’s been there and done that. Still, even after being one of the biggest celebs and cinema stars, Amitabh Bachchan is liking all the changes that are happening in Bollywood, including going digital, in his current phase
One of the biggest celebs and cinema stars, Amitabh Bachchan has been a part of Bollywood for more than four decades and has seen several changes in the entertainment industry. Sharing his views on the most noted change in movies, Amitabh Bachchan says, “There are no longer films, so I don’t know whether we should refer to this industry as the film industry at all. Everything is now digital. As artistes, we were so conscious of not wasting film (strips) as it was the most expensive product. So we were terribly conscious to complete our scenes in one take. Having to live with that kind of danger was limiting us. In case if we wanted to improve the scene, we never got that opportunity. But now the camera doesn’t stop and the producer doesn’t care! We explored this digital change with ‘Pink’ wherein we shot for the courtroom scene with seven digital cameras!” rather surprisingly and with a childlike enthusiasm on his face. Having said that, Big B seems to be liking this digital shift and major change in Bollywood. After the success of ‘Pink’, Amitabh Bachchan has been shooting for ‘Sarkar 3’ and will also start work alongside Aamir Khan for ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
