Alia Bhatt received a death threat and extortion call recently, which were made to her father Mahesh Bhatt. The celebrity filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was quick to act by lodging an FIR with the Juhu police in Mumbai. Arrest of one person by the name of Sandeep Sahu has been made in the Bhatt case. Alia Bhatt, though, feels that she didn’t get much time and chance to get jittery on the entire extortion threats and death calls case. Reacting to the same, Alia Bhatt says, “I consider my father and our police to be very brave. They didn’t give me a chance to worry and just took over. Everything is under control and everyone is safe and happy. It is a father’s duty to keep you safe, and with him by my side, there was no way for me to feel scared,” without battling an eyelid! Alia Bhatt is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ with Varun Dhawan, which releases on March 10.

Mahesh Bhatt had received extortion calls, where the caller had claimed to kill his family, mainly daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razdan, if he did not pay up Rs 50 lakh. The police acted swiftly and arrested Sandeep Sahu in the extortion calls and death threats case. Since then, Mahesh Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Soni Razdan are heaving a sigh of relief.
