Akshay Kumar announced the release of director Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Crack’ as Independence Day weekend of 2017 with much gusto. However, the date will be missed, with trade buzz suggesting that Neeraj Pandey kept working on the script for long. Latest update on the patriotic-themed film is that ‘Crack’ will release during the Republic Day weekend in 2018. Interestingly, ‘Crack’ will now clash with Sushant Singh Rajput’s astronaut act ‘Chandamama Door Ke’. Akshay Kumar will rule the silver screen for the next quarter with releases like ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘2.0’ and ‘Padman’, and the beginning of 2018 will also be marked by Akki’s ‘Crack’ since the Bollywood film is postponed from Independence Day 2017 to Republic Day 2018.
