Akshay Kumar reveals his association with Gulshan Kumar before biopic Mogul marches on
Reminiscing the old days, Akshay Kumar remembers late Gulshan Kumar and their friendship, as the cinema actor stars in the biopic ‘Mogul’ being made on the music giant
Akshay Kumar is one busy Bollywood star, taking up one project after another. Adding to his long list of films is a biopic on music magnate, late Gulshan Kumar. The man to build an empire in the music industry with T-Series is all set to be immortalised on the silver screen in a film titled ‘Mogul’, which will be produced by late Gulshan Kumar’s wife Sudesh Kumari. With Akshay Kumar plays the lead, his ‘Jolly LLB 2’ director Subhash Kapoor has been roped in to helm ‘Mogul’. Speaking about late Gulshan Kumar and the film, Akshay says, “I had the good fortune of knowing Gulshanji well. My association with him started right from my first film ‘Saugandh’. We both shared many things in common and came from a similar background. I am very excited to play him on screen.” The team of ‘Mogul’ will begin shooting by the end of 2017 with Akshay Kumar and the film will hit the screens in 2018.
