Akshay Kumar is one actor who not only believes in entertaining his fans to the fullest but also champions social causes. Based on the health and sanitation conditions prevalent in the country, Akshay Kumar is waiting with bated breath to present ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ to audiences. The actor said, “‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is very dear to my heart. More than half of the rural population still opts for open defecation in India. Open defecation is a serious issue in this country and this film is needed to bring to the fore, the harsh conditions in which we live. On seeing this the producers and I joined hands to create a product that would not only entertain but also shed light on issues that concern the country as a whole.”

‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar is all set to hit the silver screen on August 11, 2017. The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, KriArj Entertainment, Neeraj Pandey, Plan C Studios and Cape of Good Films LLP.
