Rumours were rife that Ajay Devgn’s upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Shivaay’ would mark the debut of a Pakistani celebrity actress. However, the publicists of ‘Shivaay’ have denied any Pakistan cinema star appearing in their movie. After Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ ran into trouble for featuring Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, celebs in Bollywood are treading the safe path. “There are media reports doing the rounds that Pakistani actress Saba Qamar is marking her debut with ‘Shivaay’. However, we would like to clarify that Saba Qamar or any other Pakistani actor or actress is not a part of ‘Shivaay’,” reads the official statement. Directed by Ajay Devgn, ‘Shivaay’ will mark the debut of Sayesha Saigal and also star Erika Kaar. ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Shivaay’ will release on October 28, around the time of Diwali.
India’s cinema body, the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association, popularly known as IMPPA, has banned the Pakistani artistes working in India due to the recent terror attacks.
