Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai is reportedly in a critical condition and is put on ventilator at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Mumbai. The official statement on his health is still awaited. “Aishwarya’s dad is in a critical condition and is on the ventilator now. Close family members from all over have rushed to Mumbai to be with the family in these difficult times. We are praying for the best,” a source quoted to pinkvilla.com. The report also stated that Aishwarya’s father had undergone treatment for cancer in the past and is probably suffering from a relapse. Krishnaraj Rai was admitted to the hospital earlier this year and this is his second visit in a short span of time. Aishwarya’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan was spotted leaving the hospital yesterday evening while Abhishek Bachchan also paid a visit to Krishnaraj Rai this week. As a worried and caring daughter, Aishwarya Rai has been by her father’s side all along and has been balancing her personal and professional life through this crisis well. Ash even has to manage her five-year-old toddler Aaradhya Bachchan. “Aishwarya is taking care of him despite her being alone as Abhishek was in New York for work. He just got back. Recently at Aaradhya’s sports day, Aishwarya was seen cheering for the kids and her own daughter too. She was simultaneously keeping a tab on her dad’s health,” the source was further quoted in the report.
