Deepika Padukone to produce remake of Angelina Jolie’s Lara Croft?

Deepika Padukone is not just making it big in international cinema, but the celebrity actress is set to take her career a notch higher in Bollywood as well. If trade reports are anything to go by then the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ starlet is set to turn producer in Bollywood and is eyeing Angelina Jolie’s 2001 Hollywood release ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’. Deepika has been apparently considering several scripts and may finalise on the remake of this action packed movie. A big announcement is awaited from this celebrity actress as Deepika will also have to choose a fiery artiste for the performance oriented role of Lara Croft.
However, before Deepika Padukone steps into the big shoes of a producer for Angelina Jolie’s ‘Lara Croft’, the celebrity actress has a long list of commitments to complete. Deepika has begun shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ and in between she will take a break to promote her Hollywood debut ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’.
