Why has work taken a backseat for Genelia D’Souza?
Kids are a priority now, says Genelia D’Souza, after bearing two children with Riteish Deshmukh. Hence work has been on the backburner for this Bollywood actress and now a celeb mom
Celebrity mother Genelia D’Souza has decreased her presence in Bollywood films. The actress is busy playing a doting mother to two years old Riaan and six months old Rahyl. Explaining why she has decreased working in the entertainment industry, Genelia says, “I don’t do too much of work as my priority right now are my children. We do have help, but I am there 24/7. Riteish (Deshmukh) is busier but he makes sure that he spends quality time with all of us.” Genelia and Riteish have set a few rules for upbringing of their kids. Genelia adds, “It is always parents or grandparents who go to pick Riaan up from the school. It is never just the domestic help. Also, whenever my kids come home, I make sure I am there when they enter. I don’t want them to come to an empty house.”
Soon-to-be celebrity mother, Kareena Kapoor Khan is a close friend of the Deshmukhs. When Genelia was asked if she has shared any parenting tips with Bebo, the celeb and cinema world’s mother of two quipped, “No mother needs tips. They find it themselves and there is enough of information overload everywhere.”
