The Rajasthan High Court in Jodhpur acquitted Salman Khan in the Blackbuck and Chinkara poaching cases on Monday. Salman Khan was accused of killing a Blackbuck and a Chinkara, while shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s family drama ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in 1998. In 2007, Salman Khan was convicted and had to spend time in the Jodhpur jail twice. The celebrity actor was out on bail in the case and today the Rajasthan High Court acquitted him of all charges. Reportedly, Salman Khan was not present in court when the verdict was pronounced.

Other than Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, Tabu and Saif Ali Khan too were said to be involved in the Blackbuck and Chinkara poaching cases, running from 1998 in the court.

Apart from acquittal from Jodhpur’s Blackbuck and Chinkara killing cases, last year Salman Khan got relief in Mumbai’s 2002 hit-and-run case. Salman was accused of driving drunk, running over a man sleeping on the pavement in Bandra.
