Radhika Apte has done a lot of research work for her upcoming film ‘Phobia’. The actress is of the opinion that awareness about this medical condition is very necessary. “People are not aware of phobias. They don’t know that it is a disorder, a proper biological condition. It needs treatment and people don’t fake it. Depression is recognised in the country, but phobias are not.” Radhika added that phobia is like running temperature. She says, “Phobia is like fever, a physical condition similar to a panic attack, your body stars reacting. It is very neurological. We have many patients and we need to be more aware so that it can be treated.” Radhika plays an agoraphobic, who fears public places, in the film ‘Phobia’.
