Actress Raveena Tandon, who will next be seen essaying the role of a mother in the upcoming film ‘Maatr – The Mother’, on Thursday wrapped up the shooting of the film. Directed by Ashtar Sayyed, ‘Maatr – The Mother’, which features ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame actor Madhur Mittal as antagonist, delves on the road to justice for women who are victims of violence and rape.
“This film deals about violence against women. It has become a big concern for our society and mostly what we can see in these type of cases. I am not particularly talking about rape cases only, but all types of violence against women, for which our justice system fails. ‘Maatr’ speaks about the system failure and what really can be done or what should be done when such violence against women happens,” Raveena said.

Talking about the last day of shoot, Ashtar Sayyed said, “There was a part of montage that required a lot of visual effects, that’s what we have shot today. Now we are into post-production”.
