While Ranbir Kapoor maybe nursing a broken heart, his ex-flame from Bollywood, Deepika Padukone is by his side. The actress took a day’s break from her Hollywood project, ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’ and flew down to Mumbai.
Late on Friday evening, Deepika visited Ranbir Kapoor’s bachelor pad in Mumbai and the two apparently spent some quality time together, chatting away to glory. Deepika was soon slated to fly out of the city to Sri Lanka to attend a close friend’s wedding.
Bollywood’s lovey-dovey couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were in a relationship for almost seven years, before they called it quits in 2009. While Ranbir fell in love with Katrina Kaif, Deepika went on to have one of the most desired boyfriends in Bollywood, Ranveer Singh. However, no longer sweethearts, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone remained cordial to each other and maintained a professional relationship and worked together in films like ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Tamasha’.
Ranbir and Deepika have mutually even agreed in the past that they remain thick of friends despite their relationship not working out. This, to an extent, that Ranbir has shown the desire to take care of her children by saying he “will play Godfather to Deepika’s children”, during the promotion of one of their Bollywood films.
Now that Ranbir Kapoor is single all over again, Deepika Padukone seems to be keeping her words of being his best friend and available by his side whenever required. As Deepika reportedly enjoyed some good company in Mumbai, Ranveer Singh was away in Dubai attending an awards function and winning accolades there.
