Aamir Khan is putting in a lot of efforts for his upcoming Bollywood venture ‘Dangal’, a film based on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. Rumours were rife that this much-awaited film of Aamir will release on Independence Day, ie, on August 15. Refuting the news, Aamir says, “There is no truth in it. Since it is a patriotic film, a date like August 15 would be apt. But we are not releasing the film at that time. ‘Dangal’ is releasing in Christmas, it has always been our date. We cannot come on August 15 as we will not be done by then. It was just a passing thought that Independence Day would be an ideal date and hence I mentioned about it.”
Aamir Khan has always considered Christmas as his lucky date and has released his films like ‘PK’ and ‘Dhoom 3’ during that period, just the way he prefers.
