‘Aashiqui 2’ gave rise to New Age romance in Bollywood and also saved the dying careers of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. Back in 2013, the film went on to make a whopping profit for its makers and since then their fans have been eagerly waiting for a third film in the franchise of the yesteryear ‘Aashiqui’, released in 1990.
The cast of ‘Aashiqui 3’ has been through a lot of speculation. Trying to outdo the earlier part and make it even bigger with every next franchise that hits Bollywood, this time the filmmakers are planning to cast the Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan in the lead role for this musical blockbuster. Top Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were speculated to play the female lead in ‘Aashiqui 3, but reports now state that the Bhatt camp has decided to cast an actress from their own backyard, Alia Bhatt.
While Alia Bhatt has had a long list of romantic Bollywood films in her career, it would be interesting to see her pair up with Hrithik Roshan for the sequel to epic Bollywood romance. Their fans may think that the age difference between Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan may be vast, but they can take heart in the fact that the duo will make for an interesting Bollywood couple to watch out for for ‘Aashiqui 3’!
