Ranveer Singh’s much talked about Rs 5-crore performance in IPL has now hit a hurdle! The ‘Padmaavat’ actor has dropped out of the 15-minute act on the opening night of Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2018 due to injury. Ranveer hurt his shoulder during a football match and has been advised rest. This injury may not allow him to perform to his full energy for the IPL 2018 ceremony which is scheduled for April 7 in Mumbai. While Ranveer Singh will continue to shoot for his next, ‘Gully Boy’, the actor may have to drop out of the glamorous event of IPL. On the other hand, his contemporary, Varun Dhawan, has kicked off his IPL rehearsals with full vigour, taking a break from his upcoming film ‘Sui Dhaaga’.

Reports suggest that BCCI is in advanced talks with another Bollywood hero, Hrithik Roshan, to replace Ranveer Singh to dance in the IPL 2018 opening ceremony. If the ‘Kaabil’ actor does step in saving the face for the IPL organisers, he will be another high-paying actor of the night. In the past, Hrithik has performed at the IPL opening ceremony in 2015 in Kolkata.
