Instead of the earlier scheduled release date of January 26, ‘PadMan’ will now release a day in advance, ie, on Thursday, January 25, 2018, breaking the norm of Friday releases
Akshay Kumar and team are putting in every effort to make ‘PadMan’ a box office success, after all it’s his wife Twinkle Khanna’s first try at solo production. The much awaited film will now release a day earlier, instead of the scheduled date of January 26, Friday. The release date of ‘PadMan’ is advanced by a day, to January 25, Thursday, breaking the norm of Friday releases. It looks like the makers of ‘PadMan’ want to cash in on the long weekend at the box office as Republic Day falls on Friday this time around. Last year it was Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ which made big bucks during the Republic Day week and ‘PadMan’ is seeking to replicate the success. And going by the huge precedence set by Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, Akshay Kumar will surely have to pull up his socks to match the figures of ‘PadMan’!
Releasing on January 25, ‘PadMan’ stars Akshay Kumar, who promotes menstrual hygiene in the film. Directed by R Balki, the film also features Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. ‘PadMan’ is based on author-producer Twinkle Khanna’s book ‘The Life of Lakshmi Prasad’, which in turn is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham.
