Nawazuddin Siddiqui overcoming language problems for Thackeray
To portray the late politician Bal Thackeray in his biopic titled ‘Thackeray’, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is working hard on the Marathi language as well as the dialect
Nawazuddin Siddiqui gives a strong resemblance to the late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, as he portrays the political figure in the upcoming biopic titled ‘Thackeray’. Nawazuddin seems to have aptly moulded himself to look like the party founder Balasaheb, as he is fondly known and enjoyed a huge following. However, getting the Marathi language correct is something that Nawaz is working hard on as the politician was a Maharashtrian and spoke in Marathi. On how he is going to overcome the language barrier, Nawaz says, “I have got the opportunity to portray such a great personality. Everyone must be wondering how I will speak in Marathi, but let me assure you all that Balasaheb Thackeray will inspire and bless me. And his favourite language Marathi will also love me,” fluently in Marathi! The film ‘Thackeray’ is directed by Abhijit Panse and will hit the screens on January 23, 2019.
