Saif Ali Khan acted in the first two parts of the thriller franchise ‘Race’. However, with the third part, Salman Khan has been cast in the lead. Reacting to the other Khan bagging the lead in ‘Race 3’, Saif says, “Rameshji (producer Ramesh Taurani) told me last year that he is going to make ‘Race 3’, which will be a completely different movie, with a new cast, and who better than Salman Khan to play the part? I wish them both the best.” The news that Salman Khan will play the lead and baddie in ‘Race 3’ had hit the marquee just a couple of days back.

Rumours were rife that Saif Ali Khan too was approached to play the second lead in ‘Race 3’, but he rejected the offer. It was being said that he was in no mood to play the second fiddle to Salman in the Bollywood film. Refuting the talks, Saif clarifies, “I have not been approached for the film.” However, Salman Khan is not the only change in the franchise. Directors Abbas-Mustan have been replaced by Remo D’Souza and Jacqueline Fernandez has been roped in to play the leading lady opposite Salman.

With Saif Ali Khan’s good wishes for Salman and the team, ‘Race 3’ may zoom past its prequels at the Box Office. Ironically, Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and Salman Khan are very good friends in Bollywood. Hence no celebs and cinema stars would be wanting to ruffle feathers with anyone and spoil their relation when it comes down to this.
