Amitabh Bachchan is set to turn a year older on October 11, as he covers the milestone of 75 years. Contrary to reports of a gala celebration, with sit down dinner, handcrafted name cards and an elaborate guest list, Amitabh Bachchan has clearly stated that he has no plans of partying on his birthday. He clarified, “May it be known that all this talk and news of a big celebration for my 75th is not true, ridiculous and an absolute facetious, farcical, hibernating illusion! And if there are those from within and without that are making any kind of plans, let it be known to them. I am not going to be there, come what may.” Five years ago, Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday party was indeed a grand affair, with who’s who of Bollywood making their way to gala at a suburban venue. The celebs and cinema stars reportedly enjoyed the most during Bachchan’s last birthday party.
And while he has dropped all plans of birthday celebrations this year around for his 75th, Amitabh Bachchan’s professional commitments are keeping him busy. Big B started shooting for his popular game show on TV ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 9, which will go on air in August-September.
