Salman Khan has a simple formula to sign movies. He likes to visualise himself in the character before he gives his nod to any Bollywood film! “When the narration takes place for any film that I do, I need to see myself in the role, or else I won’t sign the movie. When (director) Kabir Khan narrated the script of ‘Tubelight’, I slowly started visualising myself in the character,” explains Salman. Sharing a piece of advice, the actor goes on to reveal how to accept or reject a film. “When you hear a script and you cannot see yourself in the movie then the ideal thing to do is to not accept the offer, no matter how beautiful the script is. The other option is to work very hard and finally visualise yourself in that movie,” says Salman. And that’s how Sallu said a yes to doing ‘Tubelight’.
Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘Tubelight’ is an official story adaptation of Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gomez Monteverde’s 2015 film ‘Little Boy’. Set against the backdrop of Indo-China war, ‘Tubelight’ showcases the story of two brothers, where simpleton Salman goes in search of brother Sohail Khan, who goes missing during the war. ‘Tubelight’ also features Chinese model-actress Zhu Zhu and will release on June 23.
