After the news of ‘Padmavati’ getting pushed to 2018 hit the Internet, the producers came out to clarify that the earlier release date of November 17, 2017 is final
After Celebs & Cinema reported post the buzz of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ going through a delayed schedule and release in 2018, an official confirmation has come through. A statement from producer Viacom 18 read, “‘Padmavati’ is not postponed. Not shifting to 2018 either. It will release on November 17, 2017.” For those entering the story late, the sets of this period drama were vandalised twice, once in Jaipur, Rajasthan and then in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Despite damage to the sets and missing of costumes and jewellery, the makers of ‘Padmavati’ are confident to release the movie on schedule, that of November 2017. Leading lady Deepika Padukone has already started with the preparations for her character of queen Padmini. She will be shooting with Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh at an elaborate set erected at a Mumbai studio.
