Shahid Kapoor’s character in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is based in the state of Uttarakhand and the actor wants to get the Garhwali accent right to get into the skin of the character
Shahid Kapoor has already started with the preparations for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and the latest buzz is that the actor has hired a language coach and is working on his Garhwali accent for the character which is based in Uttarakhand. The actor is putting in a lot of hard work for his lawyer role in this drama, which highlights the shortage of electricity in rural areas. Shahid will travel to the state of Uttarakhand next month for the first shooting schedule of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film will be extensively shot in towns like Rishikesh, Mussoorie and Nainital. ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is scheduled to release on August 31, 2018.
