From the trailer of Bollywood film ‘Dishoom’, it looks like India’s neighbouring country Pakistan is shown in a bad light, as some Pakistanis kidnap India’s lead batsman before an important cricket match. Defending their stance to make such a movie, Varun says, “There is no negative reference against Pakistan in this film or against any community. It is a very positive representation. In fact, what we are trying to show is that for certain people, money is the religion – being Indian, Pakistani, Hindu or Muslim doesn’t matter. Money is sometimes the biggest motive behind things and in today’s capitalistic day and age, I feel money is the biggest driving force for most crimes.” In ‘Dishoom’, celebs and cinema world stars Varun Dhawan and John Abraham are sharing the frame for the first time. The Bollywood movie talks about a vital India versus Pakistan match, when one of India’s lead batsman is kidnapped. ‘Dishoom’ is set to release this year.
