Salman Khan has spoken in support of Pakistani artistes like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Atif Aslam. These Pakistani celebrities are facing a ban in India by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), following the terrorist attack in India. Supporting them, Salman Khan says, “They were terrorists and these are artistes. They are two different subjects. They come here with a visa, granted by our government. Our government gives them work permit as well.”
Justifying his stand along with backing the move and preaching peace, Salman Khan further adds, “Peace would be an ideal situation. However, after what has happened (Uri attacks), there has to be a reaction to action. In this day and age, I think if we can live with love and peace then it would be better for all.” The Indian army had carried out a surgical strike on Wednesday night across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
With Pakistan celeb Fawd Khan leaving the country, he will not be seen at any promotions for his big Diwali release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film is directed by Karan Johar. On the one hand while Salman Khan’s reaction on banning Pakistan’s artistes is gaining grounds, voice and protests to chop off Fawad Khan’s role from ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ are also rising.
