Salman Khan does casting coup for Race 3?

Salman Khan seems to have totally hijacked the ‘Race’ franchise. After being cast in the lead role replacing Saif Ali Khan, the actor also brought in the director of his choice, Remo D’Souza, and cast Jacqueline Fernandez as the leading lady. If that was not enough, the actor is now busy adding even more names of his choice to the franchise. Salman Khan is planning to rope in Katrina Kaif as the second leading lady for the thriller drama ‘Race 3’. Interestingly, Katrina was a part of the first film, ‘Race’.

But that’s not all, Salman is planning to pull a major casting coup, with Sooraj Pancholi playing an important role in ‘Race 3’. Salman had launched Sooraj in Bollywood with ‘Hero’, which failed to live up to the expectations at the Box Office. However, a multi-starrer like ‘Race 3’ could well be a second start for Sooraj. Anil Kapoor, who entertained audiences in the first two parts of the Abbas-Mustan-directed franchise, has not been made part of the Salman Khan-starrer, whereas Sooraj Pancholi has got a direct ticket to be a part of the team.

Reports suggest that Salman Khan has been calling all the shots for the mega franchise ‘Race 3’, which will be produced by Ramesh Taurani. The ‘Tubelight’ star has a say in almost every department of ‘Race 3’, be it in casting, for music or the locations.
