Nawazuddin Siddiqui lashes out at Bollywood for forgetting Om Puri
Venting anger on his Twitter account, Nawazuddin Siddiqui lashed out saying nobody mentioned celeb and Hindi cinema star, late Om Puri’s contribution in Bollywood during any award function
Om Puri’s contribution to the world of cinema was lauded at the Academy Awards (Oscars) held on February 26 in Los Angeles, USA, with the iconic actor’s name being included in the tribute. Ironically, the same was not the case in India. Taking up this point, Nawazuddin Siddiqui lashed out at Bollywood award functions for not remembering the legend. Venting his anger on the social networking site Twitter, the ‘Raees’ actor shared a harsh comment about the incident. “The Academy Awards, Oscars paid homage to the late Om Puri, but in Bollywood award functions nobody converse a single word for his contribution. Shame,” posted Nawazuddin. Om Puri passed away at the age of 66 in Mumbai, in January this year.
