Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt, once allegedly deeply in love, are set to reunite on the silver screen for Karan Johar-produced ‘Kalank’! However, when the actress was asked about her experience of working with Dutt in the period drama, she said, “I am looking forward to two releases next year, ‘Total Dhamaal’ and ‘Kalank’. I am excited for both the films. Let’s see now when they release,” before quickly exiting an event venue, avoiding further questions. Madhuri and Sanjay have been discreetly shooting for a few scenes for ‘Kalank’, that need them to be in the same frame. Apart from the alleged ex-lovers Mads and Sanju, ‘Kalank’ also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Interestingly, Madhuri Dixit was never a part of director Abhishek Varman’s ‘Kalank’. However, the ‘dhak-dhak’ actress was roped in for the film after the sudden demise of the late actress Sridevi earlier this year, as the latter was the original star in the film. Back in April this year, Madhuri had said, “I am excited to start the shoot for ‘Kalank’. It’s been a lovely journey so far and I can’t wait to begin this one,” as she was starting the shoot for ‘Kalank’. With an ensemble team in place and some action-packed sequences in the flick, ‘Kalank’ is scheduled to release in theatres on April 19, 2019. The film is an epic period drama, produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
