Karan Johar has not limited his vast talent just to the silver screen, but has played a successful stint on the small screen as well with TV shows like ‘Koffee With Karan’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. Buzz suggests that the filmmaker is now looking to venture into a new TV show and will be accompanied by none other than his close friend Kareena Kapoor Khan. The said television programme will be based on the concept of a far cry from KJo’s usual hosting and judging acts on the idiot box. As the channel and the makers would want it, all the details of this TV show are tightly under wraps, which may not be revealed any time soon.
Interestingly, a lot of big names of Bollywood are tuning to TV shows and making their presence felt on the idiot box apart from Karan Johar. Amitabh Bachchan recently completed the shooting of his reality game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 9’, while Salman Khan continues to host ‘Bigg Boss 11’ and Akshay Kumar is seen during the weekends judging ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. Shilpa Shetty too turned producer with a game show ‘Aunty Boli, Lagao Boli’, while Farah Khan is seen hosting a fun reality programme ‘Lip Sing Battle’. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen hosting a first-of-its-kind programme, a televised version of the popular ‘TED Talks’ with ‘Nayi Soch’. Aamir Khan too has reportedly put his team to work on a new season of his talk show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, taking up new issues and initiatives. It seems like a sizeable chunk of Bollywood is descending on the small screen.
